Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain primarily backend features for Guidewire’s application platform and AI Services.
- Build web services and applications using coding agents and automation tools.
- Write clean, well-tested code with attention to quality and security.
- Collaborate on secure, scalable, and efficient platform operations.
- Participate in code reviews and apply team best practices.
- Use AI and data-driven insights to improve productivity and outcomes.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of backend software engineering experience building web services or applications.
- Experience with coding agents and automation tools.
- Familiarity with at least one of Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python, plus willingness to learn other languages.
- Familiarity with large language models, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, vector databases, AI agents, and Model Context Protocol.
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn Kubernetes and infrastructure as code.
- Good collaboration and communication skills.
- Ability to embrace AI and apply data-driven insights to innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.
