Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate solutions that continuously improve and automate security capabilities.
- Use data to identify security trends, metrics, and opportunities, then execute improvements with stakeholders.
- Lead and enhance incident response through analysis, containment, mitigation, resolution, and remediation.
- Create and refine security program documentation, including policies, standards, baselines, and standard operating procedures.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers and analysts.
- Partner cross-functionally to secure enterprise, cloud-native, application, and data environments.
Requirements
- BS/BTech or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or eight years of security domain experience without a degree.
- At least four years of experience acting as a trusted advisor in a team setting and solving for short- and long-term business value.
- At least four years of experience coaching engineers or analysts.
- Experience with modern cloud data platforms such as Postgres, Snowflake, Databricks, and AWS S3, along with data warehouses, data lakes, or lakehouses.
- Experience with data discovery, classification, and cataloging tools or frameworks.
- Understanding of PII, PHI, HIPAA, and healthcare data privacy requirements.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language, such as Python, for automation and integration.
- Experience with regex patterns and scripting.
- Preferred experience with healthcare or health-tech systems, tooling and automation, distributed systems development, automated security metrics, DSPM platforms, data pipeline security controls, legal hold processes, data retention, and lifecycle management.
- Strong written, verbal, collaboration, and communication skills.
