Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and integrate tools and technologies across the Compliance, Surveillance, and Supervision domain.
- Build scalable, maintainable data pipelines and analytics engines for large datasets in batch and near-real-time environments.
- Integrate upstream bank systems with core surveillance platforms and enterprise vendor applications.
- Develop, unit test, deliver, and productionize distributed systems using Java and Python.
- Design and build surveillance data models while meeting regulatory, compliance, audit, technology risk, and information security obligations.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical professionals and business and technology partners.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of related experience.
- Strong Core Java experience and some Python exposure.
- Proven ability to build, unit test, deliver, and productionize scalable distributed systems.
- Understanding of data storage, ETL, and modern data engineering patterns.
- Experience with big-data processing frameworks, including Apache Spark.
- Hands-on experience with cloud data lakes, relational databases, and big-data platforms such as Databricks and Hadoop.
- Experience processing large datasets in batch-oriented and near-real-time environments.
- Experience integrating enterprise systems with vendor applications.
- Understanding of messaging systems and integration patterns, including Solace and Kafka.
- Familiarity with capital-markets asset classes and products, AML, trade surveillance, payments surveillance, and surveillance data models.
- Preferred experience implementing vendor surveillance platforms such as NICE Actimize, understanding workflow engines, and familiarity with DevOps tools and Agile delivery methodology.
