Base Salary
$143k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement distributed storage solutions for AI workloads.
- Develop exabyte-scale, S3-compatible object storage.
- Optimize storage performance using technologies like RDMA and GPU Direct Storage.
- Lead efforts to enhance the reliability and security of the storage stack.
- Collaborate with operations teams to monitor and troubleshoot storage systems.
- Create metrics and dashboards for storage performance visibility.
- Analyze telemetry data to improve system throughput and resilience.
- Work cross-functionally with various teams to deliver storage capabilities.
- Mentor other engineers on best practices for high-performance systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 8–10+ years of experience in storage systems engineering or infrastructure.
- Strong hands-on experience with object storage or distributed filesystems.
- Familiarity with storage protocols like S3 and NFS.
- Proficiency in systems programming languages such as Go, C, or Rust.
- Experience with AI tools to enhance software development.
- Knowledge of storage observability tools and telemetry pipelines.
- Experience with cloud-native infrastructure and scalable architectures.
