Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance software applications.
- Participate in system architecture and technical design discussions.
- Write maintainable, documented code and conduct code reviews.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues.
- Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, UX/UI designers, and QA teams.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous learning.
- Contribute to automation, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices where applicable.
- Recommend improvements based on emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in one or more of Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Go.
- Experience with modern software development frameworks and architectures, including microservices, RESTful APIs, or event-driven systems.
- Experience with relational or NoSQL databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
- Hands-on experience with Git and code review practices.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle practices and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and English communication skills.
- Cantonese or Mandarin is advantageous.
- Preferred experience includes AWS, Azure, or GCP; Docker or Kubernetes; DevOps and CI/CD; security best practices; and performance optimization.
