Responsibilities
- Design and build unified account and matching systems for perpetuals, spot, and prediction markets.
- Implement on-chain order matching, cross-margin validation, settlement, liquidation, ADL, ADL-avoidance, ADL waterfall, and ecosystem insurance fund mechanisms.
- Build and optimize ExchangeOS staking and venue-creation infrastructure for institutions and Web3 protocols.
- Drive performance engineering through parallel transaction execution, low-latency order pipelines, and engine- and chain-level throughput and latency optimization.
- Monitor developments in high-performance blockchain and trading systems and apply relevant best practices.
- Partner with product and business teams on technical designs and provide ongoing technical support.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Rust and hands-on experience building high-performance, low-latency systems.
- Experience with parallel or concurrent execution engines is a strong plus.
- Deep understanding of exchange and matching-engine mechanics, including order books, margin systems, liquidation, ADL, settlement, and risk engines.
- Familiarity with perpetual, spot, or prediction-market products is a strong plus.
- Solid grounding in blockchain fundamentals, including consensus, P2P networking, and cryptography.
- Experience reading the core code of major L1 or L2 systems such as Ethereum, Optimism, Arbitrum, Hyperliquid, or Solana is a plus.
- Strong systems-performance skills, including profiling, memory and allocator tuning, and designing for sub-millisecond latency at scale.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and logical reasoning skills, with an interest in trading systems and blockchain technology.
