Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend software applications and data pipelines for the FundsCore payments reconciliation platform.
- Write clean, efficient, testable, and maintainable code for complex fintech problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver features.
- Participate in code reviews, technical documentation, and knowledge sharing.
- Troubleshoot complex issues, implement fixes, and deliver sustainable long-term solutions.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and project technical direction.
- Improve system reliability and availability through observability and operational-excellence practices.
- Participate in mandatory on-call rotations and provide DevOps support for system health and performance.
- Mentor junior engineers and interns.
- Use Generative AI tools to improve productivity and system capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of relevant software development experience.
- Proficiency in Golang, Java, or the ability to quickly acquire necessary technical skills.
- Strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms and data structures.
- Experience with clean architecture, data-driven application design, and large-scale data processing.
- Experience building large-scale distributed systems using DBMS, caching solutions, NoSQL databases, and application servers with RESTful and gRPC interfaces.
- Hands-on experience with microservices architecture, Amazon Web Services, and DevOps practices.
- Ability to implement observability, SLA, security, data-governance, and regulatory-compliance requirements.
- Experience writing efficient, extensible, and thoroughly tested code using appropriate abstractions and SOLID principles.
- Experience creating design documents and maintaining documentation such as runbooks.
- Experience learning new technologies and business domains and applying Generative AI to improve productivity.
- Payments-domain experience, such as settlement and reconciliation, is preferred.
