Responsibilities
- Build features for the Cards API supporting digital and physical card issuance and management.
- Address partner challenges involving onboarding, liquidity, fraud prevention, and card analytics.
- Design and build resilient, scalable, maintainable, and well-tested systems.
- Own projects end to end, including problem definition, solution shaping, delivery, rollout, measurement, and roadmap planning.
- Own technical roadmaps and deliverables while collaborating with PMs, analysts, engineers, and other functions.
- Maintain system availability, reliability, security, observability, and technical debt management.
Requirements
- Strong experience building microservices, event-driven architectures, relational databases, and well-designed APIs.
- Ability to design and build resilient and scalable systems.
- Strong product mindset and focus on simple, well-documented APIs and partner experience.
- Experience taking ownership of impactful projects through delivery and ongoing improvement.
- Self-starting, collaborative, independent working style with clear and adaptable communication.
- Preferred experience with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, finance APIs, or the card payments domain as an issuer or acquirer.
