Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable backend software applications and data pipelines.
- Write clean, efficient, testable, and maintainable code for complex fintech problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
- Participate in code reviews, technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and architectural decisions.
- Troubleshoot complex issues, implement sustainable fixes, and contribute to technical direction.
- Improve system reliability, availability, observability, and operational excellence, including mandatory on-call rotations.
- Provide DevOps support for system health and performance.
- Mentor junior engineers and interns.
- Apply Generative AI tools to improve productivity and system capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant software development experience.
- Proficiency in Golang, Java, or the ability to quickly acquire necessary technical skills.
- Strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms and data structures.
- Experience with clean architecture, data-driven application design, and large-scale data processing.
- Experience building large-scale distributed systems using DBMS, caching solutions, NoSQL databases, and application servers with RESTful and gRPC interfaces.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services and DevOps practices.
- Ability to implement observability, SLA, security, data governance, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Experience writing efficient, extensible, thoroughly tested code using appropriate abstractions and SOLID principles.
- Experience creating design documents and maintaining documentation such as runbooks.
- Experience learning new technologies and business domains and applying Generative AI to improve work productivity.
- Payments-domain experience, such as settlement and reconciliation, is preferred.
- Fluent English communication skills.
