Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, testable, and maintainable backend software applications for the FundsCore Payments platform.
- Build complex backend systems and data pipelines that satisfy functional and non-functional requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver features.
- Participate in code reviews, technical documentation, design decisions, and knowledge sharing.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues and implement sustainable long-term fixes.
- Contribute to architecture and the technical direction of projects.
- Improve system reliability and availability through observability and operational-excellence practices.
- Participate in mandatory on-call rotations and provide DevOps support for system health and performance.
- Mentor junior engineers and interns.
- Use Generative AI tools to improve productivity and system capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of relevant software development experience.
- Proficiency in Golang, Java, or the ability to quickly acquire the necessary technical skills.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, including algorithms and data structures.
- Experience with clean architecture, data-driven application design, and large-scale data processing.
- Experience building large-scale distributed systems using DBMS, caching solutions, NoSQL databases, and application servers.
- Experience with RESTful and gRPC applications while maintaining data consistency.
- Hands-on experience with microservices architecture, cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, and DevOps practices.
- Ability to implement observability, SLA, security, data governance, and regulatory-compliance requirements.
- Ability to write efficient, extensible, thoroughly tested code using appropriate abstractions and SOLID principles.
- Experience writing design documents and maintaining documentation such as runbooks.
- Experience learning new technologies and business domains and applying Generative AI to improve work productivity.
- Payments-domain experience, such as settlement and reconciliation, is preferred.
