Base Salary
$163k - $204k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build AI-powered agents and tools from problem discovery through prototyping, evaluation, production release, and maintenance.
- Design and implement LLM integrations using prompt engineering, function calling, structured outputs, and retrieval-augmented workflows.
- Define evaluation criteria and build test harnesses for AI systems with ambiguous or domain-specific correctness requirements.
- Work directly with clients and domain experts to understand workflows, validate AI behavior, and iterate toward production quality.
- Partner with core engineering teams to turn client-specific solutions into generalized product features.
- Contribute to shared AI infrastructure, including agent frameworks, tool integrations, and deployment pipelines.
- Monitor and maintain production AI systems for reliability, cost, and performance.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Professional experience with Python.
- Experience with LLM APIs such as Claude or GPT, including function calling and structured outputs.
- Comfort using SQL for data exploration and data-grounded AI workflows.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or Codex.
- Experience taking a project from zero to one and carrying it from prototype through production.
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Mathematics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred experience includes agentic systems, multi-step tool use, agent orchestration, durable workflows, Java, financial data, AWS, container-based deployments, and AI evaluation frameworks or methodologies.
