Responsibilities
- Prepare technical design specifications, review requirements and designs, and provide written knowledge-transfer materials.
- Implement, test, maintain, debug, and support enterprise software and distributed systems.
- Lead architecture, design, and implementation of robust, scalable web services and SaaS solutions.
- Improve codebases and system quality through issue identification, standard operating procedures, recommendations, peer reviews, and technical enhancements.
- Participate in architecture and code reviews and investigate relevant new technologies.
- Collaborate with colleagues, product stakeholders, and customer support to resolve technical problems and implement designs.
- Mentor less experienced developers and contribute to technical direction and cross-functional projects.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of overall experience is required, including 3.5 years of Java Full Stack Development experience as stated in the posting.
- At least 2.5 years of experience developing systems or software for large business environments and Java Enterprise Edition.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a master's degree is a plus.
- Strong object-oriented design and service-oriented architecture principles, preferably implemented in Java.
- Experience leading architecture, design, and implementation of robust, highly scalable web services.
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure SaaS infrastructure, DevOps technologies, and extensive debugging.
- Understanding of unit, test-driven, functional, and performance testing.
- Experience with React, SQL and NoSQL database systems, data architecture, and distributed or big-data systems.
- Experience with Pulsar or similar event buses and Snowflake or similar cloud-based big-data solutions is a plus.
- Knowledge of software security tools and practices, shell scripting, machine learning, LLMs, automation, and engineering toolchains.
- Ability to translate AI innovation into business and productivity impact and work across business, product, architecture, and implementation levels.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, presentation, facilitation, decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
