Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and support Salesforce applications using declarative configuration, Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and Salesforce platform technologies.
- Design Salesforce solutions involving data models, validation, security, sharing, user access, approval processes, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
- Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce, enterprise APIs, databases, data platforms, cloud services, and other business applications.
- Build custom web, backend, API, and integration components using technologies such as React, TypeScript, Python, and related frameworks when appropriate.
- Create and contribute to unit, integration, API, UI, accessibility, security, and data-validation testing.
- Use source control, code reviews, CI/CD, Salesforce deployment tooling, monitoring, rollback, and incident-management practices for reliable delivery.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production applications and support defect resolution and root-cause analysis.
- Create technical documentation including solution designs, data models, integration documentation, deployment procedures, configuration documentation, and runbooks.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, stakeholders, UX/design teams, data engineers, QA engineers, and other technology teams using Agile delivery practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Approximately 5 to 9 years of relevant software development or software engineering experience.
- Demonstrated experience as a Salesforce developer or software engineer delivering enterprise software or data solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce declarative capabilities, Flow, data modeling, validation rules, security configuration, Apex, and Lightning Web Components.
- Experience owning or delivering a production Salesforce application, integration, automation, API, or related enterprise software component.
- Experience with Salesforce architecture, data models, security and sharing, integrations, REST/SOAP APIs, platform events, SOQL, SQL, and relational databases.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript and custom web development; React or another modern front-end framework is a plus.
- Experience with application security concepts, authentication, authorization, Salesforce access controls, profiles, permission sets, and sharing models.
- Preferred experience includes Salesforce Service Cloud or Experience Cloud, Copado, Salesforce CLI, GitLab, CI/CD, automated testing, Python/FastAPI, Node.js, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, Databricks, AWS, observability, AI/ML capabilities, and regulated healthcare, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology environments.
- Preferred certifications include SAFe for Teams or equivalent, Salesforce Platform Developer, Copado, cloud, software development, data engineering, DevOps, cybersecurity, Agile, or enterprise platform certifications.
