Responsibilities
- Define user requirements and collaborate with product analysts, QA, management, and other stakeholders.
- Design technical solutions, conduct feasibility studies, and support sustainable software-architecture evolution.
- Develop new software solutions and maintain existing C++ code according to engineering guidelines and quality standards.
- Model, design, and implement databases.
- Conduct unit, package, and performance tests and participate in product validation.
- Debug existing solutions and investigate production issues to support customers and end users.
- Produce application and issue documentation for requesting departments.
- Deploy and maintain software on different platforms and perform standard operational activities such as machine reboots, role switches, and OSRS activations in PRO.
Requirements
- Experience in software engineering.
- Object-oriented design skills and knowledge of C++, C#, Java, and Python; software will be delivered in C++, with internal C++ training available if necessary.
- Understanding of algorithms and design patterns.
- Experience with RDBMS/SQL; Oracle is preferred and NoSQL technologies such as Couchbase are a plus.
- Knowledge of Protobuf, XML/JSON REST, and SOA/event-driven architecture.
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux systems, shell, and basic system-administration concepts.
- Good communication skills in English.
