Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, performant, and reliable software systems.
- Contribute to system architecture and technical design, validating solutions through data and experimentation.
- Handle compliance, engineering maintenance, cost-saving, observability, experiment cleanup, and operational tooling work.
- Participate in code and design reviews.
- Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, data scientists, and designers.
- Clarify requirements and perform mid-level design work focused on coding, testing, and documentation.
- Build and operate large-scale, high-performance, resilient systems.
Requirements
- Require 3–5 years of professional, backend-focused software development experience.
- Require experience with Java and/or Kotlin.
- Require MongoDB Atlas or a similar modern NoSQL database.
- Require Aurora MySQL on AWS or a similar relational database.
- Require experience with cloud-native distributed systems on AWS.
- Require Spring Boot experience.
- Require GraphQL API development experience with Netflix DGS.
- Require experience building and operating large-scale, high-performance, resilient systems.
- Require strong English communication and collaboration skills.
- Prefer event-driven system development with Kafka and/or SQS.
- Prefer AI-assisted coding experience, Terraform, microservices, and gRPC and REST API development.
