Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and platform functionality within the Sectigo Certificate Manager ecosystem.
- Build and enhance Java and Spring-based RESTful APIs and distributed services.
- Implement integrations with enterprise systems, certificate authorities, cloud services, and network infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot functional, performance, reliability, and scalability issues in development and production environments.
- Contribute to technical design discussions, code reviews, documentation, testing activities, and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with Product Management, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Support continuous improvement in architecture, performance, security, and operational excellence.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong experience with Java and Spring-based application development.
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
- Experience with relational databases, SQL, and ORM technologies such as Hibernate or JPA.
- Experience working in Linux-based environments and with source control, issue tracking, and automated testing practices.
- Experience using AI coding assistants and agentic development tools.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, written communication, and verbal English skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is strongly recommended.
- Preferred experience includes microservices, distributed systems, Docker, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, production troubleshooting, CI/CD pipelines, enterprise SaaS platforms, and certificate management or security technologies such as PKI and TLS/SSL.
- Ability to work collaboratively, take ownership, learn new technologies, and balance technical excellence with practical business needs.
