Responsibilities
- Break larger projects into tasks, deliver work in phases, and collaborate with teammates to ensure timely delivery.
- Design, develop, and launch backend systems using clear, tested, and extensible code.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics on ideation, technical constraints, risks, and trade-offs.
- Create and monitor metrics and support system operations, availability, keep-the-lights-on work, and on-call efforts.
- Navigate large codebases, debug code, conduct code reviews, and participate in team growth and interview activities.
Requirements
- At least 1.5 years of experience as a software engineer.
- Experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems.
- Proficiency in Python or Kotlin.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Ability to develop solutions spanning multiple software components and write clear, well-tested, extensible code.
- Strong debugging, code review, collaboration, and verbal and written communication skills.
