Responsibilities
- Design, configure, administer, and optimize the Splunk observability platform for enterprise-scale log and event data.
- Manage telemetry collection, data ingestion, log pipelines, data retention, lifecycle management, performance tuning, scalability, and cost optimization.
- Integrate observability capabilities with AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Puppet, Ansible, ServiceNow, PagerDuty, APIs, and other enterprise tools.
- Install, upgrade, and manage Splunk apps and components, including user roles and access controls.
- Use Python and Bash scripting and automation to improve platform configuration and operational efficiency.
- Support application performance monitoring, distributed tracing, session replay, metrics, and event integrations.
- Collaborate on projects using SAFe and platforms including Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a directly related field.
- At least 7 years of hands-on Splunk experience, including platform administration, data ingestion, pipeline management, access controls, and management of Splunk apps and components.
- Expertise in log pipeline design, data retention and lifecycle management, performance tuning, scalability, and cost optimization.
- Experience integrating Splunk with AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Puppet, Ansible, ServiceNow, PagerDuty, and enterprise APIs.
- Proficiency with Python or Bash scripting and automation.
- Experience working with SAFe, Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow.
- Preferred experience administering APM and session replay platforms such as New Relic, Dynatrace, DataDog, OpenTelemetry, and FullStory.
- Preferred familiarity with generative AI and agentic AI frameworks and platforms, distributed tracing, APM instrumentation, multi-platform observability, session replay, and site analytics.
