DevOps Engineer
Re:Build ManufacturingResponsibilities
- Support and execute releases into the controlled production environment, including pre-deployment checks, deployment, service-health verification, and rollback.
- Diagnose and resolve AWS production infrastructure issues involving compute, containers, networking, security groups, load balancers, DNS, certificates, IAM, storage, and managed databases.
- Monitor production health, maintain alerting, dashboards, and log collection, respond to incidents, communicate status, and participate in an on-call rotation.
- Maintain runbooks, environment configuration, deployment procedures, and incident records.
- Perform operating-system and base-image updates, certificate renewals, backup and restore verification, capacity monitoring, and cost monitoring.
- Apply infrastructure changes through infrastructure as code and version control rather than manual console edits.
- Operate within US regulatory and customer-data access boundaries and provide sanitized evidence to external vendors when needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or production operations, including at least 3 years supporting AWS production workloads.
- Hands-on production troubleshooting experience with EC2, ECS or EKS, VPC, security configurations, ALB or NLB, Route 53, ACM, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail logs.
- Experience with container images, artifact versioning, environment configuration, secrets injection, deployment rollbacks, and CI/CD pipelines owned by other teams.
- Ability to read, modify, and safely apply Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation, with understanding of state and infrastructure drift.
- Solid Linux administration and working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, routing, and firewall behavior.
- Proficiency in Bash and Python or Go for automation, diagnostics, and small tooling.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Ability to support software without source-code access, analyze telemetry and behavior, protect sensitive data, and communicate effectively during incidents.
- Familiarity with AWS GovCloud, ITAR, CUI, FedRAMP, PCI-DSS, or HIPAA environments is advantageous.
