Base Salary
$112k - $186k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead threat modeling for assigned features and components and support complex or cross-cutting architecture threat models.
- Perform secure code reviews, manual application security testing, and penetration testing across assigned software components.
- Triage and validate product vulnerabilities, assess severity and impact, and drive fixes to closure with engineering teams.
- Build and maintain automation and tooling that improve security processes.
- Identify recurring security issues and recommend tooling or process improvements.
- Document findings and guidance and collaborate with developers to strengthen secure development practices.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in application security or software engineering with a demonstrated security focus.
- Working knowledge of common application security vulnerabilities and mitigation techniques.
- Hands-on experience with manual secure code review and application security testing, including reading source code to identify vulnerabilities.
- Proficiency in a programming language such as Java or C++ and the ability to reason about production code.
- Ability to independently own well-scoped security work and deliver reliably.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, documentation skills, communication skills, and teamwork.
- Preferred qualifications include exposure to application, system, cloud, or mobile security; experience writing automation or scripts; familiarity with AI tooling and interest in testing agentic AI systems; and experience in software or multi-tenant SaaS.
