Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain ingestion pipelines from APIs, databases, and SaaS tools using Fivetran, Airflow, and Python.
- Build dbt models that transform raw data into clean, documented, and tested datasets.
- Contribute to orchestration, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, data quality, observability, and alerting improvements.
- Build integrations and data pipelines connecting CRM, ERP, HRIS, and other business systems, including reverse ETL with Hightouch.
- Develop Python automations for Finance, People, IT, Sales, and Customer Success teams.
- Contribute to LLM-powered pipelines and build AI-ready datasets, usage data, observability data, and evaluation data.
- Monitor pipelines and automations, troubleshoot incidents, resolve root causes, and document systems and processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, participate in code reviews, and expand knowledge of data engineering, automation, and AI practices.
Requirements
- Up to 3 years of relevant data engineering experience, including apprenticeships, internships, or demonstrable personal projects.
- Strong SQL skills and understanding of data modeling concepts such as layered or dimensional models.
- Solid Python coding skills and understanding of ELT/ETL patterns, pipeline design, and data quality testing.
- Knowledge of Git and CI/CD concepts, plus practical experience with a public cloud provider and a cloud data warehouse.
- Good understanding of AI and LLM principles and practical use of AI tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English.
- Personal projects and open-source contributions may be valued equally to professional and academic experience.
- Nice-to-have experience includes dbt, Airflow, Terraform, ingestion tools, reverse ETL tools, or LLM-powered pipelines.
- Basic project management capabilities are a bonus.
