Responsibilities
- Define platform infrastructure architecture, standards, and tooling strategies.
- Lead platform operations for the FedRAMP environment and assess systems for retention, rebuilding, or retirement.
- Improve service reliability, availability, and MTTR through incident response leadership and post-incident reviews.
- Design and build automation for microservice operations and deployments.
- Partner with product engineering, security, and compliance teams on platform scaling and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
- Lead infrastructure migrations, platform transitions, and vendor-to-in-house system handovers.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in platform, infrastructure, or site reliability engineering.
- Hands-on experience operating cloud production infrastructure at scale across AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Advanced Linux system administration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, Kubernetes, and Docker experience.
- Proficiency in Python, Go, or equivalent programming languages.
- Experience designing and maintaining infrastructure as code with Terraform, including module design and state management at scale.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana or Prometheus, including SLO and alerting strategy definition.
- Familiarity with agentic development practices, GitOps, Ansible, and automated CI/CD pipeline management.
- Experience working within or alongside FedRAMP-authorized cloud environments and familiarity with continuous monitoring compliance obligations.
- Ability to develop execution plans for ambiguous platform challenges, manage operational ownership, and communicate technical objectives across teams.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration, communication, and customer-focused decision-making skills.
