Base Salary
$151k - $205k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the technical vision and direction for OTA software update systems serving millions of customer terminals.
- Design, automate, deploy, and support large-scale infrastructure for device fleet management.
- Develop staged and progressive rollout strategies with automated release safety mechanisms.
- Build observability and anomaly-detection capabilities for customer terminal fleets.
- Analyze release workflows, use cases, pain points, and inefficiencies and develop simple, innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with firmware, satellite networking, operations, release, and principal engineering teams to define technical strategy.
Requirements
- Experience with OTA update systems, fleet management platforms, or large-scale IoT, mobile, embedded, or similar device management.
- Experience with staged or progressive rollouts and automated release safety mechanisms.
- Experience building observability and anomaly detection for device fleets.
- Experience leading the design, automation, deployment, and support of large-scale infrastructure.
- Programming experience in at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
- Experience with Linux/Unix and CI/CD pipeline build processes.
- Preferred: experience with distributed systems at scale.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, refugee, or asylee due to export-control requirements.
