Senior Principal Runtime Engineer
SambaNova SystemsResponsibilities
- Design and implement runtime-stack features for high-performance, scalable ML inference and training applications.
- Develop system software, drivers, and kernel support for next-generation silicon.
- Design user-space libraries that maximize hardware performance and utilization.
- Build user-facing tools for analysis, job and hardware management, profiling, and debugging.
- Collaborate with Hardware, ML Application, Compiler, and DevOps teams.
- Build, test, deploy, and performance-tune distributed high-performance compute systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent, plus 3–5 years of industry experience.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
- Experience with user-space libraries, operating systems, and kernel drivers.
- Experience with highly concurrent and distributed systems focused on performance and scalability.
- Preferred: experience with PCIe, InfiniBand, RoCE, and RDMA.
- Preferred: strong communication skills and enthusiasm for helping colleagues.
