Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain internal developer portal plugins, integrations, and software templates.
  • Create reusable service templates for self-service application and infrastructure provisioning.
  • Build, test, and maintain GitHub Actions pipelines used across engineering teams.
  • Administer GitHub Enterprise, including repository management, access provisioning, and policy enforcement.
  • Develop Terraform infrastructure-as-code modules and workspace automation.
  • Integrate security scanning into pipelines and help teams address findings.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting standards for platform services.
  • Contribute to automated testing frameworks and developer workflow quality checks.
  • Measure developer productivity and platform adoption through dashboards and reporting.
  • Participate in support rotation, troubleshoot platform issues, and automate recurring requests.
  • Conduct design reviews, write documentation and runbooks, review InnerSource contributions, and mentor Level I engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • 2–3 years of experience in software, DevOps, or platform engineering.
  • Proficiency in at least one of TypeScript, Python, or Go.
  • Hands-on experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
  • Familiarity with core AWS services, including identity and access management, containers, and serverless.
  • Familiarity with Internal Developer Platform concepts; Backstage exposure is a plus.
  • Understanding of version control, code review, and automated testing practices.
  • Familiarity with application security scanning in CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to troubleshoot build, deployment, and pipeline failures independently.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Bonus qualifications include Backstage or other developer portal experience, OpenTelemetry, Datadog, Grafana, test automation frameworks, AWS certifications, and InnerSource or open-source contributions.
