Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Own the design and implementation of major areas of the Person platform, including canonical identity records and creation, merge, and split rules.
- Design and implement end-to-end features across data models, services, Backend for Frontend APIs, and unified member experiences.
- Collaborate across teams to understand how person data is consumed and embedded in other systems.
- Represent the platform in architecture forums and cross-team planning.
- Set standards for code quality, testing, observability, incident response, technical debt reduction, and platform reliability.
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, design critiques, and pairing.
- Promote AI-augmented engineering practices using tools such as Claude Code.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 7 years of professional full-stack development experience in production environments.
- At least 7 years of experience with a backend language such as Python, Go, or Java and modern frameworks.
- At least 7 years of professional experience developing frontend applications such as Angular or React in production environments.
- Preferred experience with TypeScript, React, Backend for Frontend APIs, identity resolution, entity matching, deduplication, record merging and splitting, or data normalization at scale.
- Preferred expertise building and evolving public-facing REST or GraphQL APIs for internal and external consumers.
- Preferred deep experience with PostgreSQL and graph or NoSQL data stores.
- Preferred understanding of distributed systems, caching, asynchronous processing, event-driven architectures, Kafka, SNS/SQS, and cloud-native patterns.
- Preferred experience handling sensitive personal data through encryption, access control, auditability, retention, and deletion.
- Experience in regulated or high-assurance domains such as government, financial services, or healthcare is preferred.
