Responsibilities
- Design and implement security concepts for infrastructure management across SAP’s global Sovereign Cloud footprint.
- Build and automate security solutions aligned with the Sovereign Cloud security strategy.
- Strengthen automated provisioning of foundational cloud infrastructure and Sovereign Cloud-ready SAP products.
- Secure cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes environments across AWS and Azure.
- Create and harden operating system images and apply security engineering practices.
- Apply NIST and ISO compliance frameworks to security deployment decisions.
- Partner with global operations teams and hyperscaler providers on security architecture.
- Maintain knowledge of native hyperscaler capabilities and modern infrastructure tooling.
Requirements
- Experience as a security engineer with deep cloud infrastructure skills in regulated enterprise environments.
- Working knowledge of Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD tools, and Git for security automation.
- Strong experience with operating systems administration, security engineering, OS image creation, and hardening.
- Experience securing cloud infrastructure at scale on AWS and Azure.
- Familiarity with managing and securing Kubernetes environments.
- A degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Willingness to undergo a governmental security clearance process.
- Mastery of ML lifecycle automation, infrastructure design, and performance optimization, with the ability to evangelize MLOps principles and coach peers.
