Base Salary

$160k - $190k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Complete the phased migration of Signals device firmware from vendor to internal ownership.
  • Own the firmware layer end to end with a paired engineer.
  • Provide on-call coverage and redundancy for the firmware layer.
  • Partner with Engineering Services on unified OTA delivery.
  • Contribute to firmware release processes, version control, and rollback discipline.
  • Participate in cross-product firmware standards through the Center of Engineering Excellence.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in embedded firmware engineering.
  • Strong C/C++ and embedded Linux systems experience.
  • Experience with OTA update mechanisms and production fleet firmware.
  • Ability to join an in-flight migration and work within an established codebase.
  • IoT or security-device fleet experience is preferred.
  • Experience with multi-product firmware standards work is preferred.
  • Prior vendor-to-internal codebase transition experience is preferred.
