Responsibilities
- Build and maintain integrations with social platform APIs and third-party data providers.
- Develop backend services in Python and Go.
- Build and maintain streaming data pipelines using Kafka and AWS.
- Design resilient systems that handle API changes, throttling, failures, token health, and monitoring.
- Modernize legacy services and improve system performance.
- Support production systems by responding to alerts and investigating data issues.
- Build LLM-based AI agents and MCP servers for engineering and support automation.
- Use AI-assisted tools throughout design, coding, testing, code review, and operations.
- Collaborate with Product, Data, and engineering teams.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of commercial backend development experience.
- Strong Python 3 skills, including asyncio, type hints, Pydantic, and pytest.
- Production experience with Go.
- Experience integrating REST and GraphQL APIs at scale, including OAuth, rate limiting, retries, backoff, idempotency, and pagination.
- Hands-on AWS experience with Lambda, S3, SQS, Kinesis/Firehose, and Secrets Manager, plus Docker and working knowledge of Kubernetes.
- Strong SQL skills with PostgreSQL and analytical warehouses such as Redshift.
- Experience with Kafka or a similar streaming or messaging system.
- Good testing practices and experience with code review and CI/CD.
- Hands-on experience building AI agents using LLM APIs, tool use or function calling, MCP, prompt and context design, and agent-output evaluation.
- Experience using coding agents across software design, implementation, testing, and review while maintaining quality and security accountability.
- Ability to debug production issues using logs and metrics.
- Good written and spoken English for collaboration with global product and support teams.
- Preferred experience with Meta Graph and Marketing API, TikTok Business API, and YouTube Data/Analytics.
- Preferred experience with Serverless Framework, Sanic or aiohttp, Helm, Airflow, Databricks, Microsoft SQL Server, PHP, Coralogix, Prometheus/Grafana, or CloudWatch.
- Preferred experience with data modeling, versioned data contracts, influencer marketing, martech, ad-tech, agent frameworks, SDKs, RAG, and agent evaluation.
