Responsibilities
- Own the German acquisition technology stack, including lead-value signals, advertising-platform integrations, bidding, and attribution.
- Shape the technical strategy, architecture, scaling approach, and long-term roadmap for German acquisition systems.
- Build backend systems, data pipelines, databases, APIs, and HubSpot tooling for sales and acquisition workflows.
- Work with marketing and data science to target relevant businesses, optimise acquisition funnels, and improve conversion.
- Integrate third-party APIs to reduce sign-up friction and improve lead data across acquisition channels.
- Engineer production features for data-science models and establish versioning and monitoring for those models.
- Collaborate with UK acquisition engineers through code reviews and design decisions, and work with product, marketing, sales, commercial strategy, and data science teams.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience designing and building production backend systems in Python.
- Strong SQL skills beyond CRUD, including schema design, query tuning, and reasoning about relational data flows.
- Ability to take work from problem definition through delivery, making trade-offs and iterating based on system usage.
- Experience translating commercial or product goals into technical solutions while working with marketing and sales.
- Experience building agentic workflows or using AI to increase engineering output, with sound judgment about when to use it.
- Clear, direct, concise written and verbal communication adapted to the audience.
- Preferred: willingness to build frontend elements using React or TypeScript.
- Preferred: experience with SQLAlchemy, scikit-learn, pandas, and PostgreSQL.
- Preferred: experience designing, building, and managing relational databases.
- Preferred: experience with Snowflake, Looker, or equivalent analytics tooling.
