Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate scalable backend and ML systems supporting sponsored experiences, ranking, retrieval, and personalization.
- Develop and own MLOps pipelines for continuous integration, delivery, training, validation, and monitoring of production models.
- Engineer data pipelines using distributed big data technologies for model training and feature engineering.
- Implement and optimize traditional ML and Generative AI models, including LLMs, for low-latency and high-throughput serving.
- Translate research prototypes into robust, production-ready code in collaboration with Applied Researchers.
- Monitor performance, resolve production issues, and improve the reliability and efficiency of ML services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related area.
- 4+ years of relevant work experience in ML, AI, data, or software engineering.
- Experience with software development in an object-oriented language such as Scala, Java, or Python.
- Experience with distributed processing frameworks such as Apache Hadoop, Spark, or Flink.
- Production experience with TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Ability to build and manage CI/CD pipelines for ML models, including Docker and Kubernetes containerization.
- Experience with cloud services, big data pipelines, and databases such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Ability to design scalable distributed systems and expose functionality through RESTful or gRPC APIs.
