Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, modify, train, evaluate, and tune machine learning and computer vision algorithms and models.
- Research and prototype object detection, object recognition, image classification, and other neural-network techniques.
- Build scalable machine learning systems and data-driven products using large datasets.
- Shape applied ML/AI product strategy through customer engagement, solution-team collaboration, discovery workshops, and prototyping.
- Support recruitment, training, and development of ML/AI team members.
- Engage with the broader ML/AI community through research, speaking, teaching, and formal collaborations.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of work or educational experience in machine learning or artificial intelligence.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Proficiency in one or more of Java, C++, or Python.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as Caffe, Torch, or TensorFlow and vision libraries or platforms such as OpenCV, Clarifai, or Google Cloud Vision.
- Knowledge of supervised and unsupervised learning, statistical modeling, data extraction and analysis, and neural-network development.
- Experience with big-data computation platforms or tools such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Tableau, HBase, or Kafka.
- Experience creating and applying ML algorithms to real-world problems with large datasets and working cross-functionally.
- Experience with cloud services such as AWS, Microsoft, IBM, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with NLP, text understanding, classification, pattern recognition, recommendation systems, targeting systems, ranking systems, or similar areas.
- Research-community contributions or publications at conferences such as NeurIPS, ICML, ACL, or CVPR are preferred.
