Base Salary
$164k - $223k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, debug, optimize, review, and test software for multiple real-time embedded platforms.
- Develop and maintain board support packages involving compilers, bootloaders, drivers, and real-time operating systems.
- Build low-level frameworks, interfaces, and infrastructure that improve embedded application development portability and testability.
- Bring up new embedded platforms and resolve hardware and low-level software issues with electrical engineers, suppliers, and vendors.
- Contribute to prototyping, requirements capture, design, implementation, and validation across the software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience developing real-time embedded software for distributed electromechanical systems.
- Strong embedded C++ and C programming experience.
- Strong experience with microcontrollers or microprocessors.
- Programming skills in C, C++, Linux, QNX, FreeRTOS, or SafeRTOS.
- Experience with common laboratory and data acquisition equipment, including DACs, debuggers, power supplies, and multimeters.
- Preferred: experience with automotive communication protocols and stacks such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet, WiFi, LTE, 5G, NFC, and UWB.
- Preferred: ability to read and provide feedback on PCB schematics.
