Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate scalable Azure platform infrastructure for data and analytics workloads.
- Automate provisioning, configuration, scaling, deployment, and lifecycle management using Terraform or Bicep.
- Manage Databricks workspaces, access controls, cluster policies, and Spark workload optimization.
- Design CI/CD pipelines and automate build, packaging, and deployment for Scala-based data applications.
- Implement observability, logging, metrics, alerting, SLIs/SLOs, incident response, root-cause analysis, and automated recovery.
- Enable reliable production data pipeline execution and improve platform and pipeline reliability.
- Engineer Power BI service configuration, workspace management, monitoring, and enterprise gateway infrastructure.
- Implement platform governance, RBAC, tagging, audit logging, secure secrets management, and compliance automation.
- Optimize resource utilization, scalability, platform performance, and cloud costs.
- Collaborate with software engineers, ML engineers, architects, and business stakeholders across global teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor-level degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles focused on automation and infrastructure engineering.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure, Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform or Bicep, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience designing and operating production-grade data platforms and pipeline ecosystems using Scala and Spark.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, reliability engineering, and observability practices.
- Experience with Databricks platform operations and Spark workload optimization.
- Experience integrating build and deployment pipelines using tools such as SBT and GitHub Enterprise.
- Power BI service administration and enterprise gateway architecture experience is a plus.
- Strong automation-first approach with minimal reliance on manual operations.
- Ability to collaborate with engineers, architects, global teams, and business stakeholders.
