Base Salary
$298k - $368k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design VLM/LLM model architectures and align model architectures with hardware architectures.
- Optimize model performance for on-device use cases constrained by memory, power, compute, and latency.
- Collaborate directly with research, software engineering, hardware engineering, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Requirements
- 7+ years of machine learning experience focused on large-scale model development, including LLMs, VLMs, or similar foundation models.
- Expertise in low-latency on-device inference and a deep understanding of hardware acceleration.
- Extensive experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and JAX and with large-scale model training.
- Experience applying large language models or foundation models in complex, safety-critical domains such as autonomy, robotics, or other high-reliability systems.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to set direction and operate effectively amid ambiguity and rapidly evolving research and technical constraints.
- Familiarity with large-scale data curation and quality assurance for multimodal datasets is preferred.
- Background in autonomous vehicle perception, motion planning, or decision-making systems is preferred.
- Publications in top-tier machine learning or computer vision conferences such as NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR, ICCV, or ECCV are preferred.
- A PhD in a relevant field is preferred.
