Responsibilities
- Support the development of satellite command and control, mission planning, and data processing software systems using Elixir/Phoenix and TypeScript/React.
- Contribute to team discussions on architecture, design, and code reviews.
- Collaborate with engineers across disciplines to build effective systems.
- Take on well-scoped tasks and features with guidance from experienced engineers.
- Write tests and follow established testing practices to maintain code quality.
Requirements
- Pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Exposure to functional programming concepts through coursework, personal projects, or prior experience.
- Introductory experience with Elixir, Erlang, or similar functional languages.
- Familiarity with full stack frameworks like Phoenix or Ruby on Rails.
- Basic experience with HTML/CSS and modern JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Interest in resilient, fault-tolerant system design and distributed systems.
- Strong written and oral communication skills and aptitude for working across disciplines.
- Enjoys debugging and problem solving.
- A strong bias towards understanding how things work rather than accepting the status quo.
