Base Salary
$125k - $400k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate production-grade realtime and batch pipelines that ingest, process, validate, and deliver data.
- Create shared datasets, fact tables, and internal data products for analysis, debugging, and product improvement.
- Build tooling to automate internal data workflows such as backfills, dashboards, report generation, and self-service data access.
- Own data correctness through output invariants, denominator reconciliation, independent recomputation, and root-cause investigations.
- Select and adapt across query engines and streaming and batch frameworks to support distributed data workloads.
- Partner with product and business teams to identify data gaps and prioritize data acquisition and improvement opportunities.
- Ship efficient, accurate, and reliable incremental solutions based on feedback.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in data engineering or distributed systems.
- Hands-on expertise in Python, Rust, Scala, Go, or Java, along with data pipeline tooling and distributed systems.
- Knowledge of realtime and batch processing tools such as Spark, Kafka, Flink, and SQL, plus relational database and NoSQL storage systems.
- Experience solving large-scale problems and delivering incremental quality improvements while building new systems.
- Ability to translate product requirements into engineering implementation plans and communicate effectively with AI, product, marketing, sales, and engineering groups.
