Responsibilities

  • Build gameplay features and systems for Teamfight Tactics game modes and cosmetics.
  • Build around-game UI features, including progression and monetization flows, with Visual Designers and User Experience creatives.
  • Drive product, technical, and architectural discussions aligned with product vision and engineering strategy.
  • Improve developer tools and workflows to increase team efficiency.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and disciplines across multiple Teamfight Tactics teams.
  • Mentor engineers, tech artists, and tech designers.
  • Participate in and improve the team’s support rotation.
  • Reduce ambiguity through technical discovery and prototyping.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of software development experience, including shipping products on large code bases spanning multiple platforms and tools.
  • 4+ years of Unreal Engine experience and familiarity with game engine tools, workflows, and content pipelines.
  • Expertise with C++ and gameplay engineering, including character, camera, and controls systems.
  • Experience collaborating across Design, Art, QA, Production, and other disciplines.
  • Experience mentoring others in both soft and hard skills.
  • Product sense, pragmatism, and player empathy in technical decision-making.
  • BS in Computer Science or proven understanding of Computer Science fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with Teamfight Tactics is desired.
  • Mobile and/or multi-platform experience is desired.
