Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated end-to-end tests using Playwright and TypeScript.
- Build and maintain automated regression, smoke, integration, release-validation, and API test suites.
- Translate product requirements, acceptance criteria, and user workflows into automated test coverage.
- Execute test suites, investigate failures and flaky tests, and distinguish product defects from test or environment issues.
- Perform exploratory and manual testing when automation is not appropriate and validate fixes through regression coverage.
- Create test plans, document defects, support production issue investigations, and identify quality risks and coverage gaps.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with QA, SDET, engineering, product, and design teams.
- Validate financial calculations and mortgage workflows where accuracy is essential.
- Improve automation patterns, testing practices, frameworks, tooling, and overall test effectiveness.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in QA Engineering, QA Automation, Software Testing, or a similar role.
- Hands-on experience writing and maintaining automated tests for modern web applications.
- Experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or a similar browser automation framework.
- Experience using JavaScript or TypeScript for automated testing.
- Experience testing APIs using Postman or similar tools.
- Understanding of functional, regression, integration, smoke, and exploratory testing fundamentals.
- Ability to translate requirements and user workflows into test scenarios and automated test cases.
- Experience investigating failed tests and troubleshooting application, test, data, and environment issues.
- Ability to work with software engineers and understand behavior across frontend, backend, and API layers.
- Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
- Strong attention to detail, edge-case analysis, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred experience includes Playwright and TypeScript, CI/CD test execution, database validation and SQL, performance or load testing, accessibility testing, financial or transactional workflows, regulated industries, and AI-assisted development or testing tools.
