Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test plans, test cases, and test procedures.
- Validate functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, and usability of web-based and data-centric applications.
- Perform integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing across distributed environments.
- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using issue tracking tools.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and system administrators to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Support CI/CD testing activities and participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Verify data integrity and data flow across large-scale analytics and ingestion pipelines.
- Contribute to test automation frameworks and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Document detailed test processes.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance are mandatory; candidates must be willing to obtain a CI Poly.
- At least 14 years of total professional experience in a technical support role, including 5 or more years in software testing, quality assurance, or related technical roles.
- Experience testing web applications, APIs, and distributed systems in varied environments.
- Knowledge of performance testing and security testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with Agile software development and DevOps practices.
- Experience with automated testing tools and scripting languages such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Python, or JavaScript.
- Understanding of defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira or TestRail.
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Geographic Information Systems, Computer Systems Analysis, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent.
- Preferred experience with big data technologies including Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and Elasticsearch.
- Preferred experience testing cloud-native applications in AWS, Azure, or Kubernetes environments.
- Preferred experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools including Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
- ISTQB or another software testing certification is preferred.
- Experience in high-availability, mission-critical production environments is preferred.
- Military or intelligence analyst experience, military or intelligence community support, or familiarity with IC PED systems is a plus.
