Responsibilities
- Lead technical discussions and presentations with enterprise clients and understand their architectural and business needs.
- Develop and implement proofs of concept and custom demonstrations showcasing Kong’s capabilities in system integration and CI/CD environments.
- Provide guidance on SRE observability strategies for monitoring and optimizing API infrastructure.
- Use Linux, Docker, and Git to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide advanced customer support.
- Drive automation technology adoption and efficient API lifecycle management in customer environments.
- Collaborate with sales, product, and engineering teams, provide market feedback, and contribute to product development.
- Mentor junior solutions engineers and contribute to the team’s technical knowledge base.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently and deliver results within deadlines.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in solutions engineering, technical architecture, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
- Solid AIOps and/or Kafka experience, with familiarity with AI trends, orchestration tools, agentic AI, and agent building preferred.
- Strong understanding of APIs, software development, API design, and API management principles.
- Experience with authentication mechanisms including OAuth, OIDC, and JWT, plus cybersecurity best practices.
- Proficiency with Linux, Docker, Git, CI/CD pipelines and tools, SRE observability, and automation scripting.
- Understanding of the software development life cycle and infrastructure and application deployment.
- Strong project management, prioritization, presentation, interpersonal, and technical communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
