Base Salary

$93k - $210k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and operate Oracle Kubernetes Engine and related cloud-native service features.
  • Build scalable distributed systems that provision, upgrade, and manage Kubernetes clusters across OCI regions.
  • Improve the reliability, scalability, performance, and operational efficiency of OKE services.
  • Develop automation, tooling, and testing frameworks that improve operations, engineering productivity, and service quality.
  • Debug complex production issues across Kubernetes, networking, compute, storage, and OCI infrastructure services.
  • Collaborate with OCI partner teams on integrated cloud platform capabilities.
  • Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, operational reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Own features from design and implementation through production operations and ongoing improvement.
  • Support a highly available 24x7 cloud service through on-call rotations, incident response, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience building and operating production software systems, preferably distributed systems or cloud services.
  • Strong programming experience in Java or Go.
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, networking, and distributed systems.
  • Understanding of Kubernetes fundamentals, including pods, deployments, services, controllers, cluster operations, and cloud-native application patterns.
  • Experience with containers, Docker, Kubernetes, or related cloud-native technologies.
  • Experience with CI/CD systems, automated testing, and modern software development practices.
  • Experience using AI-assisted software development tools across coding, testing, debugging, and documentation while maintaining code quality, security, and engineering judgment.
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and ownership skills.
  • Experience operating highly available production services, including on-call rotations and incident response.
  • Preferred experience with multi-tenant cloud infrastructure, managed services, Kubernetes platforms, OCI or other public clouds, Kubernetes internals, cluster lifecycle management, networking, storage, observability, automation, developer productivity tools, operational tooling, or open-source cloud-native communities.

  • U.S. hiring range is $92,500 to $209,500 per annum, with possible bonus and equity eligibility.
