Base Salary

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain front-office applications using Java 17 or later.
Build high-performance, low-latency, and scalable services for trading, pricing, risk management, position management, and trade lifecycle workflows.
Develop microservices, event-driven solutions, APIs, and integrations with internal and external systems.
Participate in architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, release planning, and production support.
Partner directly with traders, sales teams, quants, risk managers, operations users, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Apply software engineering practices including clean code, automated testing, secure coding, code reviews, continuous integration and deployment, observability, resiliency, and operational excellence.
Use GitHub Copilot and other AI-assisted tools for development, testing, refactoring, documentation, code reviews, and productivity improvements while validating generated code.
Provide Level 3 production support, troubleshoot complex issues, and perform root cause analysis.
Collaborate with technology teams across New York, London, and Asia, and mentor junior developers.

Extensive hands-on software development experience with Java, preferably Java 17 or later.
Strong experience with Spring Boot, microservices, multithreading and concurrency, event-driven architectures, Kafka, MQ or JMS, relational databases, and SQL.
Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, distributed systems, performance optimization, and scalable application architectures.
Demonstrated experience using GitHub Copilot or other AI-assisted software development tools and validating AI-generated code.
Experience in front-office technology organizations within investment banking and strong knowledge of fixed-income products.
Experience building or supporting trading, pricing, risk management, position management, or trade lifecycle management systems.
Strong experience with test-driven development, automated testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, production support, and incident management processes.
Proven ability to deliver enterprise applications from inception through production deployment.
Preferred qualifications include experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, fixed-income risk analytics, trading and market platforms, real-time risk or trade management systems, technical design leadership, and mentoring development teams.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, stakeholder management, ownership, and self-motivation skills.

The anticipated base salary range is $158,000.00 to $205,000.00, with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive award.
