Responsibilities
- Build and maintain authentication, authorization, and access-control systems.
- Develop data isolation and data-loss prevention capabilities for enterprise customer data.
- Implement active threat monitoring, security defenses, secure-by-default patterns, and trust-boundary protections.
- Own secrets management, key rotation, vulnerability management, and dependency management.
- Build audit logging and supporting data infrastructure for customer security and privacy requirements.
- Partner with security, compliance, engineering, and product stakeholders while owning backend services end to end.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience shipping production code.
- Strong backend engineering experience building scalable, reliable services and owning them end to end.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure and Infrastructure as Code.
- Proficiency in TypeScript, Python, or equivalent programming languages, with the ability to debug complex distributed systems.
- Professional experience applying security fundamentals and making proportional security decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Clear cross-functional communication skills and the ability to connect technical work to business and user outcomes.
- Preferred experience includes SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, multi-tenant enterprise SaaS, NoSQL databases, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform, and enterprise security questionnaires or customer security reviews.
