Responsibilities
- Develop and code application software for traction and auxiliary converters using MATLAB and ControlBuild.
- Translate functional requirements into detailed software specifications and maintain compliance with EN 50657 and EN 50128.
- Manage software configuration and change control processes.
- Participate in software design reviews, quality documentation, bench testing, and validation activities.
- Collaborate with international teams on validation and reporting.
- Support on-site commissioning, field testing, and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with traction control engineers and subcontractors as a technical software-development interface.
- Report project progress, risks, and workload to engineering managers and organize development schedules around project milestones.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Electronics, Control Systems, or a related engineering field.
- Minimum two years of experience in real-time embedded software development.
- Advanced experience with MATLAB, Simulink, and ControlBuild.
- Familiarity with real-time embedded systems and software development environments.
- Basic knowledge of power electronics and control systems.
- Understanding of configuration and change-management tools.
- Strong analytical, autonomous, and team-oriented working style.
- Good spoken and written English communication skills.
- Willingness to travel 40% of the time.
- Knowledge of railway safety standards, electronics board architecture and software, and traction converter systems is preferred.
