Responsibilities
- Build, customize, upgrade, and maintain responsive websites for desktop and mobile devices.
- Use WordPress, DIVI, plugins, and customized web development functionality to meet customer requirements.
- Code with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Monitor website health, troubleshoot problems, and update websites as needed.
- Evaluate website code for valid structure, industry standards, browser compatibility, and mobile compatibility.
- Apply WCAG accessibility standards, usability practices, web fonts, and accessibility evaluation tools.
- Manage workflow, prioritize tasks, track project duration, and deliver customer work on schedule.
- Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional production teams.
- Provide a high level of customer service and communicate project updates, revisions, and changes.
- Work rotational shifts and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- At least 6 months of website development experience.
- Hands-on WordPress experience, including customization with HTML5 and CSS3.
- Basic knowledge of the DIVI theme builder, Elementor, or similar page builder plugins.
- Ability to use JavaScript/jQuery to fulfill requirements.
- Extensive knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards, usability, and web fonts.
- Experience with web accessibility evaluation tools and processes.
- Fluency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript libraries or platforms such as Angular.js and Node.js is advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of search engine optimization processes.
- Strong problem-solving, organization, project management, time management, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work directly with customers, function under pressure, work autonomously, prioritize workloads, and collaborate cross-functionally.
