Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of embedded software engineers, including technical guidance, code reviews, design reviews, and career development support.
- Drive rapid prototyping, root-cause analysis, and resolution of complex firmware, hardware/software integration, and field issues.
- Develop and debug Embedded Linux systems at the application and kernel-module levels.
- Architect and bring up bare-metal and multithreaded systems across ARM SoCs, microcontrollers, and other processing platforms.
- Interface with I/O hardware, protocol stacks, boards, and laboratory debugging equipment.
Requirements
- Deep experience in rapid prototyping, system bring-up, and debugging.
- Experience with Embedded Linux application and kernel-module development.
- Experience with ARM SoCs, microcontrollers, bare-metal systems, multithreaded systems, and at least one real-time operating system such as ThreadX, VxWorks, FreeRTOS, or Zephyr.
- Experience interfacing with USB, PCIe, Ethernet, SDIO, SPI, UART, and I2C hardware and working with TCP/IP, RTSP/RTP, and USB protocol stacks.
- Experience with board bring-up and lab equipment including logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
- Experience with GNU tools, Eclipse, Visual Studio, Green Hills, IAR, JTAG debuggers, and version management tools such as Git.
- Proficiency reading and understanding schematics and component datasheets.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Kanban and Scrum.
- Yocto and PetaLinux experience is preferred.
- US citizenship is required.
