Responsibilities
- Work with software development teams to address application security requirements throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Develop policies, guidelines, procedures, control documentation, secure coding resources, and application security roadmaps.
- Develop, support, and embed DevSecOps security tooling into CI/CD pipelines.
- Operate static, dynamic, and other software security analysis tools and triage false positives and false negatives.
- Partner with development teams to resolve issues identified by application security tools.
- Support Security Champions and increase adoption of secure coding practices and tooling.
- Report application security initiative results to leadership, product management, risk, and engineering stakeholders.
- Collaborate across teams and business units while complying with internal bank policies and external regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- 8–12 years of experience in Security Engineering with strong expertise in secure software development.
- Expert knowledge of application security and software security concepts and frameworks such as OWASP and NIST SSDF.
- Experience with CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.
- Experience using or applying application security tools such as Snyk and GitHub Advanced Security is desirable.
- Coding or programming experience, such as Python, is desirable.
- Ability to consult with business and technical representatives and balance security with business requirements.
- Strong written communication skills and an understanding of risk management principles.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related discipline.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CSSLP and participation in relevant industry associations are advantageous.
