Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy data-plane and control-plane components enforcing deny-by-default AI policies.
- Build low-latency identity, context, and policy evaluation services at Google Cloud scale.
- Integrate features with Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud Run, IAM, and Agent Platform, including defining API agreements and integration details.
- Identify and remediate policy correctness risks, failure modes, and abuse paths.
- Participate in on-call response, resolve production incidents, and ensure fixes are delivered.
- Own features from design through launch, including requirements, milestones, estimates, dry-runs, and safe enforcement.
- Write clean, tested, and documented code; conduct code reviews; author design documents; and mentor Level 3 engineers and interns.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of software development experience using C++, Java, Python, or Go.
- Experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: experience building and managing services on Google Cloud Platform or similar cloud environments, including Kubernetes or Cloud Run.
- Preferred: experience with high-availability load balancing and networking technologies.
- Preferred: deep knowledge of cloud security concepts, Identity and Access Management, and Zero Trust architectures.
- Preferred: deep understanding of agentic workflows, including Model Context Protocol servers.
