Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and configure AS400 COBOL software modules, interfaces, and components.
- Lead and mentor junior developers through code reviews, technical guidance, coaching, and skill development.
- Deliver quality software within requirements and timelines while following application design and functionality standards.
- Explore business solutions and enhance functionality to meet business and user needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in the complete software delivery lifecycle and maintain AS400 applications.
- Manage communication with stakeholders at different levels in client-facing settings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- Minimum seven years of AS400 COBOL development experience.
- Mainframe COBOL or AS400 RPG development experience may be considered for candidates demonstrating strong aptitude and willingness to transition to AS400 COBOL.
- Experience in the banking domain, especially payments.
- Working knowledge of AS400 COBOL, SQL, and DB2.
- Familiarity with JIRA and ALDON.
- Experience coaching or mentoring junior team members is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.
