Responsibilities

  • Develop, design, and enhance web applications and services for electronic payments.
  • Implement and maintain web and backend application development projects.
  • Contribute to technical architecture, solution specifications, effort estimates, and technical approaches.
  • Perform complex development tasks including testing, debugging, and quality assurance.
  • Conduct code reviews and component, integration, and regression testing.
  • Develop monitoring and logging concepts for highly available and performant systems.
  • Share knowledge and support the development of team members.
  • Collaborate with national and international stakeholders in an agile environment.

Requirements

  • Completed degree in computer science, business informatics, mathematics, or a comparable qualification.
  • Initial to several years of software development experience, ideally in an agile environment.
  • Good knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, and API development and integration using REST, OpenAPI, and SOAP.
  • Experience with messaging and integration technologies such as Kafka and frontend technologies including HTML, CSS, and JSF.
  • Experience with relational databases such as Oracle and development and deployment tools including GitLab, Maven, IntelliJ, or Eclipse.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude.
  • Knowledge of Quarkus, Thymeleaf, Shell scripting, NATS, JPOS, cloud-native architectures, or microservices is advantageous.
  • Payment, financial-services, or transaction-processing experience is advantageous.
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
  • Analytical thinking, initiative, accountability, and enthusiasm for collaboration in international teams.
